Now Available: 2022 Data

Written by Chandler West | November 29, 2023

Data season is here! At IMPLAN, we mark the holiday season with our annual data release. That means 2022 data has arrived in the IMPLAN Cloud application.

Each year, IMPLAN’s economists work diligently to compile the latest data from a wide range of sources, fill in gaps in the raw data, balance the data across all geographic levels, and more, empowering users to make their analyses more accurate and timely.

What’s New?

Several new data sets have been incorporated into the 2022 Core IMPLAN Data. There are also some changes to the source data including:

  • The new ZCTA-to-County and County-to-MSA relationship files from the U.S. Census Bureau
  • The incorporation of county-specific average household size data when estimating household counts by county
  • The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Census of Employment and Wages (CEW) data released in the new 2022 NAICS code scheme
  • Incorporation of new commuting flows data from the Census Bureau

The economy is always changing, so it is critical to use the latest data year to ensure the most accurate results for your economic impact analysis.
